Welcome Sweetwater Camera Club Photographers!
Our next meeting in the new Douglasville Conference Center is Thursday, April 11th at 7 p.m.
Erik Peterson will be running the meeting since Hoke Smith will not be at the April meeting
This meeting takes place in Room 1 of the Douglasville Conference Center, 6700 Church St, Douglasville, GA 30134. Park in the Parking Deck which is attached to the center and come in the front entrance under the flags and clock tower. Spouses / significant others and friends, as always are welcome!
Drinks and food are not allowed to be served in the Conference Center but "incidental drinks" can be brought in by individuals. A bottle of water or the like is suggested.
SPEAKER/JUDGE: Our guest speaker for this month is Tom Vadnais who is a well-known figure in the Atlanta photography scene as a nature photographer, educator, and workshop instructor. He is the current President of Georgia Nature Photographers Association and a two-term President of the Roswell Photographic Society and a founding Board Member of the North Georgia Camera Club Council to which the Sweetwater Camera Club belongs. An automotive accident reconstruction engineer by day, which strongly incorporates photography, Tom's true passion is Nature photography. Check out his website at http://tomvadnais.com/.

THIS MONTH’S CONTEST: “Raindrops” - Rain droplets can be still in the air or attached to an object. Should be pretty definitive raindrops as opposed to dew drops or water condensation. We had four field trips for this month's meeting - the Douglasville Conference Center, Starr Mill, and Downtown Douglasville. There were four Field Trips/Meetups since the last meeting: 1) Cobb Galleria and the Southeastern Flower Show - Self Guided March 15, 16 & 17 2) Saint Patrick's Day Parade Atlanta - Self Guided March 16 3) Gibbs Gardens Self Guided - March 15 - April 10 4) Oakland Cemetery - Instructor led March 24th
MEMBERSHIP: You may join by visiting our PayPal site at http://www.sweetwatercameraclub.org/membership or you may join in person at our monthly meetings held on the second Thursday of each month. The fee is $20 per individual or $35 per family for the calendar year of January through December, 2013.
CLUB OFFICER POSITION: We are glad to announce Teresa Morgan as the new Assistant Secretary. Thanks Teresa for volunteering you time and efforts to help out the club.
FIELD TRIPS: There are at least four field trips planned for March and April, all before the April meeting on April 11th. Note: The purpose of the Meetups is to give members the opportunity to get out and shoot and if desired, with other club members. We learn from one another and by watching each other shoot. Anyone that wants to suggest or led a Field Trip, please contact Janet Newton.
